We are excited to invite you to the Faculty of Biology’s annual scientific retreat, taking place on February 3-4, 2026, at Hacienda Forest View Hotel
This year’s retreat expands into a two-day event, offering a unique platform for knowledge sharing, scientific innovation, and networking between the biotech industry and academia.
Event highlights include:
- 4 sessions of groundbreaking scientific lectures
- 2 sessions showcasing research posters by graduate students
- Interactive networking and social activities
The retreat of the faculty of biology provides a great opportunity for students, post-docs, faculty members, and administrative staff to come together both intellectually and socially. Throughout the poster sessions, oral presentations and social events attendees are able to intermingle with colleagues outside their labs who are working in a diverse array of research areas.

Important Information
General info
- Upon arrival, please leave your bags/luggage in the lobby by the reception desk until you receive your room keys in the afternoon.
- For those staying at the hotel, checkout must be completed in the morning. You must arrive at the poster session, which takes place on Wednesday between 8:30-10:00, with your keys and bring them to me. Leave your bags in the lobby area as you did on the first day.
- For hotel guests, on Wednesday at 7:00 there will be a yoga class in the hall next to the lobby. Please bring your own yoga mat and register for the class using the link below, as capacity is limited: Yoga Class registration – Fill out form
- At the same time, and if the weather is suitable, anyone interested in taking a short morning walk, we will meet at 7:00 at the hotel entrance.
Hotel Facilities
- The hotel has several facilities available:
- Fitness room open 24/7
- Spa complex with an entrance fee of 40₪ per day
- Mini golf and chess area – equipment is available from reception at no charge upon deposit of an ID
Conference info
- The poster session will be held in 2 adjacent locations: one in the main hotel lobby entrance and one above it at the entrance to the dining room.
- The lectures will take place in the hotel's auditorium, and light refreshments as well as cold and hot beverages will be served at the auditorium entrance throughout the day.
- Three companies that sponsored the annual research conference will have displays at the auditorium entrance. You are all invited to stop by and visit them.
Shuttle
- I remind you that the shuttle leaves tomorrow at 7:50 from the School of Engineering bus station, located near Louis' Square (next to Shnir Gate). Sharon Inberg and Naama Motyuk have agreed to oversee the shuttles, and you are welcome to contact them if needed. Sharon: 052-3311778, Naama: 050-8299057.
